New Orleans RTA Canal Street Project
Brookville Equipment Corporation (BEC) recently completed manufacture of truck assemblies for the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (NORTA). These domestically manufactured truck assemblies were installed on new streetcars built by the NORTA Car Shop. In addition, BEC installed all new power systems, control cabinets and operator stations, truly modernizing these 1920's era Perley A. Thomas cars without affecting their historical appearance.
